Secondary
sources are defined as the original works of the first person who thought of
them and may be named as original source documents. The author provides these
materials based on discovery, exchange of information, or new opinions.

Films, music, and historical art. Articles about people and events from the
past.
Sources of Higher Education
These sources offer summaries or extensive copies of
various materials, usually based on primary or secondary sources. These sources
provide information about the facts or an overview of a particular topic but
rarely contain original material. : Dictionaries. Encyclopedias. Brochures.
The Importance of Research Sources
The
diversity of sources of research offers many benefits to different people and
to different tasks. These benefits include the following: Meeting the
expectations of the academic community to which the person writes. Provide
evidence of the broad, informed and relevant knowledge of the person.
Demonstrate evidence of an analytical and decisive approach to the sources
used. Clarify that the personal writing of the research does not rely primarily
on personal opinion. Demonstrate the process by which a person reaches his or
her own conclusions about the subject, and enable the reader to understand and
evaluate the ideas and information they provide. Demonstrate a person's ability
to integrate material from a different set of sources. Enable readers to follow
references or views that are of particular interest to them. Avoid plagiarism.
